Christmas Windows of London

It’s all about the…..BOX (no treble?)

This year there is a plethora of ‘Box’ related schemes, from the rich reds of Debenhams to the stacked delight of Coast – we hope we get this many presents this year!

Illumination increases in variety and complexity year on year, and is now a must have in any seasonal Christmas scheme.

Movement plays it’s every present role in catching the eye of the consumer, although we have seen less than in recent years. H&M’s moving hanging shapes were almost too subtle whilst M&S added in some moving cogs to their TV advert themed windows.

Selfridges Windows pay tribute to classic fairy tales, from the Goose that laid the Golden egg, to little boy blue. Always done to a high level of detail and definitely a set of windows to go and see when doing the Christmas shopping.

Fairytales are full of stories of Elves, magical helpers bringing the magic of Christmas to life. It would appear that these miniature helpers are popping up in various window schemes…see if you can spot them.
