Sally Beauty, the UK’s No.1 supplier of professional hair & beauty products opened their first northern flagship store in Leeds close to the new Trinity shopping centre and featuring two floors of everything from hair dye, to nail gel and hairdryers!
We took a trip to their latest store to discover how Sally are tailoring their offering for both the professional amateur and trade experts.
Situated over two floors, the airy space invites customers to investigate and discover, incorporate digital screens, overhead projectors and clearly zoned areas to ease the customer and promote cross selling of complimentary products.
Neat touches include the Sally Loves area, with individual feature panels to showcase selected product and to communicate the expertise of Sally and the quality of product this brand can offer.
As leaders in the beauty and accessories field, the Sally team have created (with a little help from GDP) a unique Nail Art centre, where clients can create their own designs and have them printed direct onto their acrylic nails for quick application, perfect for matching to a new dress for a night out.
Key areas have been given special treatment, with the hair extension boutique incorporating bold wallpaper, and the innovative hair-dryer tester bar where you can try before you buy – just don’t get blown away.
In the basement the focus is on trade and professional customers, where higher stock density and a focused approach suits the analytical approach of a client who knows what they are after.
Complimenting the entire store experience is the Sally staff, many of whom have previously worked in the trade and are therefore on hand to impart their hands-on knowledge and help you to create that unique look and style.
This is clearly a brand with a lot of confidence, and we watch with eagerness to see how the brand will develop it’s retail offering.
