Discover the latest innovation in mannequins and visual merchandising display, with the unveiling of the new window installation at the prestigious Harrods department store.
The concept for the multiple window installation was inspired by the unique aesthetic of the Mesh form, and developed into a cohesive scheme which balances the dynamics of structure and architecture with the elegant luxury fashion.
Combined with distinctive flower forms to represent the uplifting and renewal of a spring display, the Mesh form is an integrated element, where traditional mannequins with their solidity and mass would detract from the distinctive and delicate atmosphere that has been achieved.
The unique mesh texture interplays with the subtle pastel lighting, producing layers of intricate shadows that add an extra dimension to the installation.
Mesh body form – showcased in the luxury windows of this major London landmark utilises a unique material to create these contemporary body forms. Hand made by the Global Display London Studio, this biodegradable material uses less material and is lighter than a standard mannequin, whilst providing creative designers with new inspiration for visual displays.
“Mesh brings a fresh and unique product to the visual merchandising industry, and its integration within these prestigious windows is a result of a close collaboration with the Harrods creative team” Julie Foster, Head of Visual at Global Display
